Democracy is a transient state whose internal dialectic pointing in the direction, so the contradiction between them is completely illusory. The dualism which is at all serious, but per Aristotles scheme is both dictatorship (tyranny) and two malignant tendencies of democracy more acceptable governance, namely the monarchy and constitutional Government respectively. Many seem to live with some sort of karikatyrbild of the late medieval Europe as a dark age of rank and all-out savagery, when in fact, marks the beginning of Europes upward trend both legally, available, military and purely crass financially. Respect for property rights is widespread--not in small part when the international systems own legitimacy rests precisely monarchical on same principle--, trade generates technological and production technical wonders of the textile and manufakturindustrin, the Germanic-Catholic Christendom is in one of its highest cultural flourishing periods, and Europe is ready to take the leap with her torch of civilisation which once shall betaken to and enlighten the worlds dark corners, debiting the very principles which you erroneously ascribe to the late modern era in which everything is undermined. It is Republican agitators who wont be responsible when the giljotinerna arrive and families are persecuted--not monarchs. -Bjorn Johannessen
