Denises Question: I would like to know how others handle an intestinal blockage. It seems like I have one every month or two. It usually comes on at night time, and I am up all night with excruciating pain coming and going in my abdomen (like I am being stabbed with a knife). Then there is the vomiting in between. It is literally hell to go through this and at times it is hardly bearable. I wonder if it would be better to go to the ER and endure my misery there. I just cant imagine having to sit in the waiting room for hours in this agony waiting to be seen by a Dr. Nothing I take gives me any relief when this comes on. It seems like I just have to suffer through it.
