Denominations…….why so many religions?? First of all know that the word of God is amazing and has always come to pass exactly as written in context. If you look real close at every different religion and denomination you will notice that they all have some beliefs that come from the word of God while they add much of their own doctrines and beliefs that contradicts much of Gods word.. All except the one true God and His word has been perverted because men wanted to go to heaven but did not want to love and obey the Lord. They instead wanted to live by their own desires so they would pick and choose the parts of Gods word that they liked and dismiss the rest or simply explain it away in various ways. It is true that some religions and denominations choose to believe more of Gods word than others do, While they slip in a little deception and sadly people will blindly follow them because of this, even though the teachers ignore what they dont like and make their own man made doctrines that contradict Gods word. But a little yeast ruins the whole lump of dough. There is only one body of Christ and not a bunch of man made denomination, The following speaks of those who belong to God and they do not have different beliefs. In unity we do not pick out pieces of God’s word that sound good and dismiss the rest while making our own doctrines, That is a false unity from the world and not of God. 1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. Philippians 2:1-2 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it isFor brothers to dwell together in unity! Romans15:5-6 Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 13:11-14 Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you, The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Ephesians 4:3-6 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. . John 17:22-23 The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. All who belong to Christ will hate evil and live to please our Lord and Father above all else. Romans 12:9 “ Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Psalm 97:10 Hate evil, you who love the LORD, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Proverbs 8:13“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverted mouth, I hate. The Doctrine that guides Gods people leads to godliness and does not tolerate compromise because we know it hurts our God who gave all so that we might live. 1 Timothy 6:3-4 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, When we belong to Christ we are not the same as we used to be but we live for Him as we have died to self and it’s fleshly pleasures that led to death. How can one who only lives for Christ alone live a life if sin? Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. If you are a new creation and the old you has passed away then you no longer live as the dead person you were or you would not truly be alive in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Mark 8:34-36 And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
