...Dense Fog hanging on stubbornly in western counties... As those of you out in the Lexington and Holdrege areas (and points north and south from there) can see for yourselves, areas of locally dense fog are hanging tough across western portions of our coverage area (remember, dense fog is defined as visibility of one-quarter mile or less). The NDOR webcam image is from Lexington. As a result, the Dense Fog Advisory that was originally supposed to expire at 10am has been extended until Noon for the gray-shaded counties in the image below. Just as a heads-up, there is a decent possibility that dense fog could again form in many of these same areas tonight into Friday morning, and possibly extend farther east into parts of the Tri-Cities area as well. Time will tell...
