Deputy Denzil is to Mitt Tory, what Don Cherry was to Rob Ford. A clear message to a large number of engaged Torontonians that our new Mayor - much like our old mayor - does not represent the whole of his constituency in an equitable manner. At least poor, overstretched Rob waited until his swearing in ceremony, before Doug unleashed their court jester to inform we more actively mobile citizens, as to our 2nd-class status. And has anyone forgotten that it was Minnan-Wong who - acting as Fords loyal confederate - knowingly made our citys streets less safe for all, just to serve a mutually beneficial political agenda, during the brief honeymoon phase of the previous council when so much of the real damage to our citys reputation and identity was done. Some would suggest that Tory deserves a chance to prove that he isnt the empty, tone-deaf suit he has always appeared to be. With Denzil now tainting the proceedings so prominently - one tragic mishap and MW could be running my hometown - TORONTO can not again afford such a dangerously naive luxury.
