Deputy Norris will be GREATLY missed! DRUG DISCOVERY 08-06-2014 Monroe County Sheriffs deputies recovered over 96 pounds of marijuana today, August 6, 2014, after a routine traffic stop on I-75. Monroe County Sheriffs Deputy Norris stopped a silver Mitsubishi Montero sport near mile marker 191 southbound on I-75 around 9:15 a.m. for window tint violation. The driver, Anthony Sean Howard, 33 years old from Jacksonville, FL was found to be driving on a suspended or revoked license and was placed under arrest. Deputy Norris noticed that Howard was acting strangely and radioed a request for assistance from another deputy. Deputy Thompson arrived and when he and Deputy Norris searched the vehicle, two large black trash bags containing multiple bricks of a green leafy substance, suspected to be marijuana, were discovered in the rear of the SUV. The green leafy substance was tested and the tests confirmed it was marijuana. Howard is being charged with Improper Lane Change, Driving on a Suspended/Revoked License and felony Trafficking Marijuana See attached photos: 1: Photo of the marijuana showing the original opened packaging. 2.
