Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro, Igor Luksic paid an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, 26-27. August 2013. On that occasion, he had meetings with: Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and head of diplomacy, the members of the Presidency, chairman of the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Council of Ministers and High Representative for the implementation of the peace agreement in Bosnia. During the meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zlatko Lagumdzija , both sides noted that the relations between the two countries are excellent, with no outstanding issues, and that a special significance in their further improvement of an agreement on the border, whose signing is planned by the end of this year. Also, in order to further strengthen ties between the two great countries noted that, as soon as possible, to sign a series of agreements that are in the final stage of harmonizing such agreements in areas of mutual investment protection, border surveillance, forensic tests and expert testimony, and the establishment of a joint Center for police cooperation and mutual recognition of certificates for agricultural products. Improving transport infrastructure and support stronger economic cooperation were the topics of particular interest interlocutor. Complementary of strategic foreign policy objectives was evaluated as an additional value in their relations, and regional cooperation is a key element of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the two countries. Therefore, special attention was paid to the talks intensify efforts in the framework of the new concept of regional cooperation called WB6 +2, and agreed to by the next ministerial meeting planned on the sidelines GSUN in New York, in cooperation with other members of the initiative, formulate concrete projects of mutual interest. During the meeting with the Minister Luksic, the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zeljko Komsic, Bakir Izetbegovic and Nebojsa Radmanovic stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina has the best relations with Montenegro from all countries with which it borders, and that represents a rare example of good neighborliness, not only in the region, but in Europe . It was concluded that cooperation in the field of European integration, and to this end, stronger regional cooperation is of great importance. Both sides agreed that poor transport links discourages serious foreign investment, and that in the future, we should intensify joint efforts in the field of improving transport links between the two countries.
