And if we want to talk about solving the political problems that come with an empire, we have to solve the problem of our own ressource consumption. Because otherwise we depend on the empire to keep us wealthy, even though we feel oppressed by the existence of the empire. On the one hand were complaining about the NSA and the terrible actions of the American government, on the other hand we drove here in two tons of steel running on oil that was taken at gunpoint from one country or another. Iran [...] had a democratically elected government in 1953 which was overthrown by the CIA because they nationalized the oil reserves. We live in a system which requires somebody to be oppressed for us to have our standart of living. And when we become oppressed by that system we complain. But it is probably much easier to end the system of oppression completely than it is to change who is oppressed in the system.
