With Nigeria leading 2-0 and a bit under siege, Uzoenyi exchanged passes with Raibu Ali and Fuad Salami who laid the ball for Uzoenyi to curl it low and beyond Josephs’ reach. That goal gave the Super Eagles a 3-0 lead in the 64th minute, and although Bernard Parker pulled one back for Bafana Bafana, it was too little, too late. Uzoenyi was voted the Man of the Match for his outstanding display which saw him score two goals as the Super Eagles eliminated Bafana from Chan 2014.
