The song was released on Atlantic, Custard records as the second single in the first quarter of 2005 and reached the top fifty in the UK• peaking at number 44 following the success of Youre beautiful and Goodbye my lover. Wisemen was re-released in the spring of 2006, number 21 in Newzealand and at number 23 in the UK• The song was met with positive reviews.
