Design Engineer - Auburn, NY IMMEDIATE OPENING… Designer and manufacturer of custom trade show and retail displays is seeking individuals with strong 3D AutoCAD skills to design and engineer products in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be creative and have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be highly motivated and organized, a team player, self-starter and flexible to change. Cabinet design, basic electrical, MasterCAM, Router-CIM or injection molding experience are a plus. The primary responsibilities of the Design Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following: • Transforms initial rough designs using computer aided drafting (CAD) into working documents • Plans and designs engineering programs and assembles project staffs • Responsible for organizing highly complex activities for the development, implementation and maintenance of engineering projects • Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards • BOM creation and order materials accordingly • Provides expert consultation in one or more areas for the design, development and implementation of exhibit properties and client product • Generates all property set-up and installation drawings with great detail for ease of set-up on show site • Verifies all client product to ensure that all properties will accommodate product on show site • Works directly with Project Management to create detailed construction drawings for the shop • Recognized as technical leader and source • Recommends alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures • Responsible for internal activities and product development Our client offers competitive wages and an excellent benefits package.
