Designer Jeff Griffin began his fashion career at the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art, he spent his early working years in Milan then came back to England to set up his own company, Griffin Laundry, in 1994. The brand built up great recognition within the art and fashion scene with pieces such as the sleeping bag coat and in 2001 Griffin opened it’s first concept store on Portobello Road. As well as the Griffin label, Jeff also heads the Griffin-Studio a design consultancy that currently consults for Converse, Airwalk, Baracutta and Penfield, and in the past has designed for labels such as Kenzo, Berghaus, Mackintosh, Mambo, Hugo Boss, One Nine Zero Six and Mandarin Duck. One of his most recent creations is the Griffin Short Down Coat, a great little shape in a classic style. Made from the famous ITS Artea Cotton based in North Italy the designer has mixed this with colourful Harris Tweed to produce a functional, luxurious garment designed to last you a lifetime. griffin-studio/
