Desperation: (n) The feeling of panic an individual may get upon being woke by the sound on the garbage truck and realizing it is garbage day and that the trash can was not put out. This feeling may cause an excessive sense of urgency and may compel the individual to leap from their bed like it is on fire, dash down the stairs while yelling garbage! at their spouse like a deranged, nonsensical battle cry, rip the semi-frozen front door open and charge down a ice covered front walkway to said garbage can. In extreme cases, this can all occur while the individual is clad only in a T-shirt, thin cotton pajama pants and combat boots on a winter morning with a temperature of -16* and a windchill on -33*. .
