Despite being the most widely translated and read publication in history, many still say they don’t get much out of reading the Bible. Should that describe you, just recall that Jesus says, “…The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63) and taking a cue from F. B. Meyers begin to, “Read the Bible not as a newspaper, but as a love letter. If a cluster of heavenly fruit hangs within your reach, gather it. If a promise lies upon the page as a blank cheque, cash it. If a prayer is recorded, launch it as a feathered arrow from the bow of your desire,” because in a world where trust is in short supply, “…Not one word has failed of all the good promises He gave…” (1Kings 8:56).
