Despite having only seen about 5 games this season, heres my take on the Morton situation. Moore has shown he is a competent manager. At Stirling and in the 1st 2 seasons with us. Stirling dropping like a stone after his departure should be a warning to us. Last season was a particular highlight with a very decent run at the title. However its clear there has been a change in salary structure with experienced pros; MacDonald, Tidser, Hardie, Rutkiewicz etc being replaced with youngsters & dubious imports. Results in the league clearly are not good enough & each passing defeat makes it less likely he will turn it around. The problem, as is always the case, is that I fear who we will bring in. Likely we will promote coaches or senior players, or appoint someone from lower leagues (rarely any other option). Hopefully we will get at least a slight boost and can stay up this season, but its a crying shame that we will have to get rid of the best manager weve had since McGraw. Remember we will still have the same squad, most of whom are contracted till next end of next season.
