Despite our ignorance about what is really going on during a conflict situation between two people or groups of people, we only draw to us what is necessary and needed in order to complete our journey back home, or, to say it better, to create a new world that is free of the binding influence of duality. To be able to enter the world of unconditional love, freedom, and non-judgment (the kingdom of heaven) we first needed to go through everything that could feel fearful and restrictive. We all needed to judge others so that we would know how it feels to be judged in turn, according to the laws of karma. Not liking someone is painful to our heart and a restriction to the oneness that we are. Our Higher Self has no such notions of dislike or separation; it naturally feels one with the person with which our ego has difficulties. Through karma, we are attached to one another, positively ‘stuck’ with this person until our human resistance melts down and disappears.
