Despite the exit of Mikel Obi tilting the momentum towards Chelsea, the game eventually ended in a 1-1 stalemate. For the first time since his switch to Stamford Bridge, Samuel Eto’o joined Michael Essien on the Chelsea bench. Both of them were unused substitutes. In what is now becoming predictable, the Senegalese Demba Ba, was not even on the bench as he continues to be on the margins, and an outcast in Jose Mourinho’s team.
