Destinations bound by books!!! **Beverly Cleary...Portland, Oregon She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and also uses it as the setting in her books. Created in 1995 by a group of teachers, librarians and business people, Grant Park is home to the Beverly Cleary culpture Garden for Children. Bronze statues of three of her best-loved characters--Ramona Quimbly, Henry Huggins and Henrys dog Ribsy--can be found in the park. More to come...
