Destroyed are the Falsifiers Destroyed are the Falsifiers Question 70: What is the meaning of the saying of the Almighty: {Destroyed are the falsifiers………. They ask: “When is the Day of Recompense?”}? 1 Answer: {Destroyed are the falsifiers}: meaning, the ones who give a judgement which opposes the ordainment/judgement of Allah, and certainly every judgement which differs from the ordainment/judgement of Allah is a false lying judgement. So those are the ones who give a judgement which opposes the ordainment/judgement of Allah. The ones who belie/disbelieve in the judgement of Allah and the Command of Allah. And they are the ones who will belie/disbelieve in the Qa’im (pbuh), and who will not have faith in him. For verily, they desire that he comes according to their judgement, not according to what Allah (swt) has ordained/judged. ]{Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless}: meaning, those people are immersed in this world (in worldly pleasures), heedless of the Hereafter, and the unseen, and the Kingdoms of Heavens, so they are heedless of the Qa’im (a.s) by this world, and gasping behind it (striving for it). And there is nothing on their minds except this world, and they are turning their backs on the Qa’im (pbuh) and Jihad (fighting) between his hands and suffering and fatigue for the sake of upholding the word of Allah. They are the inhabitants of the world covered/overwhelmed by the flood [of confusion] and heedlessness, and the religion and the Qa’im are stuck on their tongue (meaning they speak of religion and the Qa’im a lot) 2, they speak about him and talk to people about him, however, they are not ready to support him, for verily, he opposes their world, opposes their lives (their life styles), and puts their lives and interests at risk. {They ask: “When is the Day of Recompense?”}: This is a malicious excuse by which they apologize, and it is that they say [that] the Qa’im shall not rise now, there’s still a lot of time left, the religion is fine, and corruption, injustice, and oppression are not spread everywhere yet. 3 So {“When is the Day of Recompense?”}, and it is as if they do not see how the Earth has been filled with oppression and injustice because of America and its followers, rather because of them themselves, these are the ones who claim to represent religion so they [cause] corruption while they think that they are doing good works 4, until their corruption has made them reach a point where they oppose the Qa’im (pbuh) and become his enemies, although they are living by his preference, and under the shadow of his (pbuh) name. However, they know that his rise (pbuh) would mean the end of their false religious leadership/authority and the sanctification that the ignorant ones hold for them, and thus, they are trying to turn people away from the Qa’im (pbuh), and away from supporting him, so they are the ones mentioned in the supplication: “Verily they perceive him to be far.” 5 They ask: “When is the Day of Recompense”!!! * * * 1 - The Holy Qur’an Surat Adh-Dhariyat (The Winnowing Winds): 10 & 12 2 - Just as Imam Al Hussein (pbuh) said: “People are worshipers of the world, and religion is stuck on their tongue (meaning they talk a lot about religion), they surround religion as long as their livelihood is good. But when they get tested with hardships, the people of religion become few.” 3 - There is a very useful comment regarding this matter from Ahmad Al Hassan (pbuh) present in his book ‘The Supremacy of Allah and not the Supremacy of the People’. Refer to: the chapter [titled]: ‘The Expected Reformer, Why’ page 38. 4 – The Almighty said: {Say, “Shall we [believers] inform you of the greatest losers as to [their] deeds? ۞ [They are] those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work.”} The Holy Qur’an Surat Al-Kahf (The Cave): 103 & 104 5 - A portion from the Supplication of Al-Ahd, the Imam (pbuh) says in it: “O Allah! Reveal the sorrow of this Nation by his presence. And O Allah! Hasten his emergence for us. Verily, they perceive him to be far and we perceive him to be near, by Your Mercy O Most Merciful of those whom show Mercy.” Masbah Al Mutahajid: page 552.
