Destruction of the WIlson Experience - Day 30 Make a difference today - end this folly. It has come back to me that the college does not like this series of posts. They claim that they are destructive, perhaps encouraging alumnae not to give to the annual fund; hurting students. I am pretty sure that I will have a lot of alumnae support when I say to you, the College, Alumnae giving is down because of your actions, not the words of Carol Noon. I am just a reminder. Your 30 day campaign may be over, but we are not. We want what is best for Wilson too. We have no desire to hurt our alma mater. We are busy women with busy lives and yet we are staying connected to each other so that together we can insist on accountability. We tried to make a difference. Since August of 2012, this group of women have volunteered to help over and over again. From sprucing up the college, to raising money, recruiting students, restarting the Aunt Sarah program, sending treats, cards, and cookies.... lots of cookies. We created an Amazon link that among just our group raised over 300 dollars in one month for the Alumnae Association. We handed the link over to the college to help - imagine if all alumnae used it over the course of the year. the Association would have operational capital. The College made a difference - We have been rebuffed and vilified. Our efforts have been mocked. We have been dismissed as disgruntled alumnae. Kicked out of Warfield, Class Notes censored. Important historic Wilson artifacts put up for auction. Told that the college has been co-ed since 1970. Still we are here. I fear for Wilson because President Mistick appears to answer to no one. Do the trustees hold her accountable for the false data and manipulations? Do the trustees remember a time in Wilsons history when there was an open dialog among all at Wilson? Do those trustees even understand that they are the caretakers, not the President? Do the trustees understand that the statement made to WITF by President Mistick has the potential to do more damage to Wilson than my 30 day countdown on Facebook? It is time for the Board of Trustees to make a difference.
