Detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch have arrested three men over a confrontation which occurred outside an apartment complex at West Lakes just before midday on Sunday 5 October. A 36-year-old Royal Park man, who police will allege is a member of the Mongols outlaw motorcycle gang was charged with affray. He was bailed to appear in court at a later date. A 27-year-old West Lakes man and a 26-year-old Edwardstown man, who are allegedly both members of the Finks outlaw motorcycle gang were also charged with affray. The West Lakes man was also bailed, while the Edwardstown man was remanded in custody. Detective Chief Inspector Kym Hand of Crime Gangs Task Force says “Police will not let community safety be compromised by the in-fighting of motorcycle gang members in public spaces.”
