Detroit City Workers Pensions = 19,000 per year The City did not pay into Social Security so these workers will not receive any Social Security. These Pensions are to be cut. This loss of money will further collapse the Detroit economy. Ironically....the same crowd of dingbats who bailed out the corrupt people on Wall Street who bottomed out the global economy , paint the workers and unions in Detroit as if they were demons. Then you have the people who dont believe the Government should be involved...which is funny to me. As if the purity of your ideology is more important than people eating and having heat in the winter. I think that should be the Governments job. Especially after natural disasters. Otherwise we are just paying for endless Wars. My next rant will touch on the racial issues that need to be discussed. I keep hearing alarmingly racist comments about Detroit and feel I need to dig into that a bit.
