Deut 28 1-14 God chose the nation of israel to be His people and thi is not questionable.However the quality of life they were to live.and the blessings received.depended on how obedience and submissive they were to His commands.Hence the if clauses in vs 1,9,&13.Note the conditions they were to fulfill in vs1-2. Identify the blessings listed in the passage, They fall under these categories, personal , material, climatic, political, social, economic, agricultural, and international relations. Note that their roles to obey while the Lord commits Himself to bless then continuously vs9, 12,13) vs 13-14 are guidelines on how to put obedience into practice. It is a process of paying attention to the commands following them carefully and deliberately not turning aside from them. They are not to be supplemented with following other gods. This demands total dedication and commitment to Gods commands. Check yourself and see how closely you have followed Gods commands in the different aspects of your life.
