Deuteronomy 24:19 When you are harvesting in your field and you - TopicsExpress

Deuteronomy 24:19 When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. We give food and some clothes out because of our love for God. That is what we are called to do is to show grace. When we learn about it then we should have no problem showing it. We want to equip people to try to help themselves whenever possible. Sometimes that is where we show the most grace is by being there to hear them. There use to be a lady that sought us out every time that we were out and the reason that she gave us was because we listened to her and didn’t judge her. There are people that frequent he and us often tell us the same thing. Our current needs our women and men’s underwear of all sizes, trial sized toothpaste and trial sized deodorants, socks toothbrushes, shirts, and coats. The weather is changing and now we need long sleeve shirts. We also need volunteers for Sunday, 3-5, and Tuesday, and 6:30-8:30 or 9:00. On Sunday we meet 25 people and gave them 23 drinks, 4 blanket, 7 pair of underwear, 12 pair of socks, 4 shirts, 21 sacks of food, 7 prayer, and 8 hygiene kits. On Monday we came in contact with 46 people and we gave out 59 drinks, 15 pair of underwear, 23 pair of socks, 16 shirts, 47 sacks of food, 3 blanket, 6 coats, 1 bra, 1 information sheet, and 7 hygiene pkgs. On Tuesday we had the opportunity to serve 23 people by giving out 23 drinks, 22 pair of underwear, 13 pair of socks, 13 shirts, 33 sacks of food, and 11 hygiene pkgs., and 3 hats. Thursday we had the opportunity to serve 35 people by giving then 32 drinks, 3 blanket, 4 pair of underwear, 16 pair of socks, 12 shirts, 56 sacks of food, 5 jacket, 7 hygiene pkgs., prayed with 2 people, 1 scarves, 4 pair of gloves, and 4 hats. As usual the biggest commodity that we give out is ourselves; and we’re happy to do it. Our current needs are men and women’s underwear of all sizes, trial sized deodorants and shaving cream, water, shirts, (the weather is getting cooler), blankets, socks, and volunteer for Sunday afternoons from 3-5 and Tuesday evenings. Basically everything! We are also looking for drivers. This is the only volunteer position that you will have to fill out an application for.
