Deutsche Bank picket in New York, January 31 It seems that the current President of Ukraine is no longer accountable to its own people, is not afraid to violate the laws, engage in openly criminal actions, and behave in a way as if he does not need to live in that country after his presidency. One could understand such self-confidence, given the multimillion dollar assets of the so-called Family. But we all walk under the same sun. You cannot hide from the cheated people anywhere. Even across the ocean. Indeed, it was right across the ocean - in New York, to be specific - that the Ukrainians, outraged by the Presidents actions, came out to picket Deutsche Bank - the bank that services foreign currency transactions of VBR Bank that belongs to the Presidents son Oleksandr Yanukovych. Approximately 50 picket participants lined up in front of the Banks entrance, holding posters. Passersby came up, wondered whats going on, took fliers. Journalists recorded several interviews. We were also able to pass a letter written by UCCA and the organization of Ukrainians Razom to the Banks representative. Wall Street is a rather busy district on a weekday, and the banks reputation, especially among other financiers, is so very important. It is unlikely that Deutsche Bank would want to be famous as the bank for dictators. There are lots of Ukrainians all around the world, and those who are bullying the people now wont be able to hide anywhere. We will prevail! Razom!
