Devastated tonight to learn the pub I grew up with, made my debut for its Sunday league side at 16, helped my nanna clean it, and where my family drank, the Victory on boultham Park Road is to shut. I used to be friends with the landlords kids in the 70s spending many a happy time upstairs, met a numer of girlfriends there, first got drunk there, so many fond memories of happy times. Cheers to the Vic. If they pull the royal naval club down or my Nans old house in church drive then my youth in boultham will have been obliterated. Sad night.
