Developing upon the two previous posts I made referring to Velikovsky and Worlds in Collision, Id like to get into a bit more about a new Cosmology model labelled the Electric Universe (EU). I originally encountered it while discussing and defending Geocentrism in the Comments section of Infowars. In many respects, EU proponents and Geocentrists have much in common. Both sides do not accept the current scientific paradigm. Both reject the Big Bang. Both reject Relativity. Likewise, with regards to a cosmological model, there is nothing in EU theory that conflicts with the Catholic faith as far as it only concerns observational science. EU adherents by and large are not that interested in explaining origins and seem to recognize that science is unable to go that far and observe the past. However, EU proponents are made up of all kinds of people and by and large are still heliocentrists; though whether they are aware of Geocentric arguments is unknown, so I dont want to label them rashly as being de facto biased against Geocentrism any more than most people. Though I do recall one speaker who seemed to be aware of the implications of doing away with Einstein, arguing that to see ourselves as the center of the universe, wouldnt be humble. Nevertheless, I believe that theyre really on to something and make a very convincing case. And would like to see if its compatible with what we know, and see if it has any implications or advantages to bring to a Geocentric Universe and our view of ancient times and the origins of pagan religions. The video below is a good introduction, which was also my first exposure to it. Its a lecture by Wallace Thornhill telling his story and a brief overview of how the EU model came to be recently (though it was always an alternative explanation brought up in the past, but largely suppressed by the reigning paradigm). Ill add some more videos here later that will flesh it out more... But this serves as a neat intro to the kind of people behind EU, what theyre up against, and a small glimpse of where they are going with it. The most interesting thing being the interdisciplinary nature of all kinds of researchers coming together to explain a phenomenon that scales from the smallest things we take for granted to the largest scales. https://youtube/watch?v=xxaP91FdijU
