Development and new state creation has no correlation whats so ever. Definitely not in this e-age. New states created will provide employment only to very few people. Mostly it is a political gain for the politicians. But gullible people follow these political groups as if a new state will be a panacea for all their problems. Thousands die, millions lose their home, in this mindless act of achieving a senseless objective. I have seen thousands deaths, agonizing screams and life cut short abruptly. Development is always holistic and never in silos. And for the record, unfortunately I dont think any major political party has the guts to play a non-caste and non-religion game any more. But I am an optimistic person, and I hope one day we will see a better India and a better world.
