Development of far-flung and backward areas prime concern of present Government: PeerzadaANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 26: Development of far –flung and backward areas is the prime concern of present collation Government and every possible step is being taken to take the benefits of development to these areas.This was stated by the Minister for Hajj & Auqaf, Public Enterprises and Floriculture, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today at Kokernag while taking review of the ongoing developmental works in Breng ConstituencyRevealing details of the development in the area the minister said that a number of educational and health institutions have been opened by the present Government for providing basic essentials to general public, the Minister revealed that in Breng assembly constituency there are a number of educational institutions besides two Degree colleges, one sub District Hospital nine health centres and 28 first aid centres/Dispensaries.While taking review of the tourism sector it was given out in the meeting that a project of 22crores has been approved by GOI for establishing a all season garden at Sayan Sagam and budget for development of Dandipora park and club have been made available and placed at the disposal of executing agencies. It was also revealed that work on 18 Educational Institutions is in progress.Taking strong note of PHE Sector the Minister instructed the concerned Engineers to gear up their men and machinery for upgrading the present water supply schemes and establishing new ones. He directed the forest officers to give the required NOC’s to the PMGSY Engineers for early completion of different road projects. It was further given out that 120 additional Angan Wadi Centres have been granted for the Breng Constituency for which the engagement of Aww/Awh will be started vary soon.Under Rural Development Sector it was revealed that 10 Crore Rupees have been allocated for MGNREGA, under which an estimate of 813 works has been finalised out of which work on 389 have been started. The work on 19 Panchayat Ghars has been taken up while as landacquisition process for remaining 13 is under way. PWD Engineers informed that 80% macademisation works of targeted roads in the constituency have been completed while as 14 works have been completed under PDD sector. Under RJGVKY 100 transformers have either been augmented are replaced.The Minister directed the revenue officials to speed up the land acquisition process for the coming up developmental structures including Tehsil Complex and Degree College.Besides, all District officers, ADDC Anantnag and CPO Anantnag also attained the meeting.
