Devil Family!! Please join us as welcome some of our Paratroopers home! For the last 4 months these Devils Paratroopers have been deployed to Afghanistan executing a Theater Response Force mission ISO ISAF Joint Command. 1st Battalion-504th PIR, Red Devils, deployed in February 2014 and took over battle space in Ghazni Province from the Polish who had operated in the area for over a decade. The Red Devils provided much needed space for the ANSF to secure the Afghan Elections, while continuing to counter SVBIED, IDF, and DF attacks against ANSF. 2nd Battalion-504 PIR, White Devils, deployed in March 2014 and moved into RC-South to disrupt cross-border lethal aid coming into Afghanistan, resulting in increased security and force protection throughout the AO. Additionally, elements of the 1st BDE HQs and 127th EN Battalion deployed to OEF to provide mission command, intelligence analysis, sustainment support, and route clearance patrols to both Red and White Devils, while providing IJC additional situation awareness on ANSF forces and election support throughout the theater of operations. Still, the Red and White Devil Battalions remain in Afghanistan for the duration of Operation Resolute Support. We look forward to bringing them home safely.
