Devon Generally shared this over at his place ... it is pretty stunning in its ignorance. IF ... one accepts the authors premise, the rest follows pretty solidly. But if the original premise is flawed, the rest of the argument falls apart ... The author assumes DOCTORS determine gender based on observation of penis or vagina at birth. For the sake of this argument I contend NATURE does so (leaving aside my belief GOD does so). For people believing evolutionary imperatives drive our existence it is hypocritical to say - that in THIS exception - objecting to natures determination is healthy. Nor does this address the additional hypocrisy of people who love government mandates for EVERY choice we make - down to our food seasoning and drink choices - yet positing [falsely] that gender identity determined by bureaucrats and doctors and then objecting to THAT ...
