Devotional Thought: The uncompromising Marriage Return home, you wayward children, says the LORD, for I am your master. I will bring you back to the land of Israel--one from this town and two from that family--from wherever you are scattered.-Jeremiah 3:14 14 “Return, faithless people,” declares the Lord, “for I am your husband. I will choose you—one from a town and two from a clan—and bring you to Zion I come with a full heart this morning hoping to reach every single one of you with this word! I was contacted by a young man I led to the lord and saw he had back slidden not because of lack of discipline but his own affections with american lifestyle. When I met him he was wearing a orange jumpsuit with nothing on his feet but flip flops and a call. I was in a season of evangelism. He might even read this and see the power of God in his life. He came to me at a service and confessed he wanted God in his life. I never said you needed it his personal conviction led him to the lord and I was in the way. He messaged me on facebook saying that I saw my dreams realized and in my heart I was hurt to see his dreams were not pursued but God said to me dont forget even though you compromise I never do. Their is a marriage that is happening in your life first is the process of dating Christ then lets say the baptism is an engagement time.A time is coming where a marriage to the Bridegroom is coming! In this time Christ is telling me despite your lifestyle of drinking,partying, continued compromised decisions he wants to be in a covenant relationship with you. A marriage, a holy institution, where your life becomes his and he loves you unwavering and you know it. I am inviting you to challenge yourself to know that God waiting on you to realize his gaze is upon your heart not your sin nature. So Jeremiah says return Home to God forsaking all that you know and see to be in his grace. Pastor Carl
