Bible Reading: I Samuel 17:40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherds bag which he had...Giants are regular faces on our pathway to greatness. The devil brings them our way to stop us while God sees every giant on our way as an opportunity for us to be elevated and testify of his goodness.David met Goliath like every other Israelite but chose to act differently. He chose to confront the giant. Stop running away from Goliath run towards him.What are the things David needed to confront Goliath? Firstly he had his staff in his hands. The staff was a symbol of authority. For todays Christian the staff symbolizes the name of Jesus and his blood. This is our authority as Christians.He also had five smooth stones. Today the Christian needs the word of God. He needs more than five verses. He needs to eat so much of Gods word so he would be well prepared for the enemy. He put the stones in a bag. We are meant to hide Gods words in our hearts. Our bag today is our heart. We are to hide it safe and draw it out when needed.David also had the sling which is unpredictable when it swings. We need the Holy Spirit in our life today if we will adequately confront the giants before us. The spirit of God is unpredictable but active in its dealings.I pray for a reader that you will be well equipped to confront all the giants on your way, Amen. This week all the giants troubling others will crumble before you, Amen.P.P- 1.Father thank you for a new day and for your word to me today, Amen.2. Father make me another David who will not run from Goliath but confront him, Amen.3. Father all I need to bring down the Goliath of my day, put it in my hands today, Amen. Declaration: Goliath is another testimony waiting for manifestation.You are blessed.
