Diabetes education seminars for Veterans and their families/caregivers - Hosted by the Dutchess County Dept of Health and the Div of Veterans Services. Thursday, September 26 at 3pm and 6 p.m. - My Diabetes Plate will introduce a simple plan to make healthy food choices to assist with controlling blood glucose including portion sizes and food preparation tips. Monday, September 30 at 3and 6 p.m. - Know Your Numbers explain critical health values that everyone with diabetes or other chronic health conditions should know. A review of numbers that increase risk for heart disease, diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure will be shared.
