Diabetes is a common disorder characterized by persistently high blood glucose levels in the body.It is as a result of the bodys (pancreas) inability to produce insulin.Insulin helps in the break down of fat and protein for the growth of the cells and breaks down carbohydrates for energy.Diabetes is therefore not necessarily caused by the intake of sugar but the bodys inability to break down the sugar.
