Diagnosis: a couple of ulcers in the duodenum (the beginning of the intestine just past the stomach) one which is about 1 1/2 in. long. Will have to wait until next week to get the biopsy of the ulcer to see if there is bacteria present and if so then antibiotics will be prescribed. Treatment: anti-ulcer meds to heal the ulcers and NO MORE MOTRIN. Game Plan: Find another way to manage his chronic neck pain and teach him to verbalize his feelings (emotional AND physical). Hope to be released tonight.
