Did You Ever See? Did You ever Hear? Mushrooms a high as mountains. Dark voids reaching to Hades doorsteps. But not to be seen, no light; a chilling darkness The stuff of goosebumps and hair raising fear. Seas rough and red; no comfort as a bed. Lakes of orange, rivers of green.... Acid! Swirling bitter mists filling the sky. Each breath .... unbearable pain! Fires rage relentless and deadly. Soot filling the final holes in the unholy shroud, Between Heavens lights and Earth. The candle all but extinguished. All creatures gathered two by two. To compose and sing a Requiem. Except for man! For He had written, and sung; The wrong note ... far too many times! But in a final act of foregiveness and compassion; The Earth and Her creatures invited mankind to listen. For it would indeed be the most glorious and final sounds That He would ever hear.
