Did You Know? Campaign Fact: Dont let the word judge fool you; this is no black-robed courtroom position. Think of the county judge as being the mayor of the county, an administrative position responsible for writing the budget and presiding over commissioners court. As your county judge, I will focus on responsible budgeting and taxation, starting with with my own commitment to not accept a raise during my four-year term. We will work to develop a long-term water plan, and we will focus on economic development for the entire county. We will ensure that we have facilities that are efficient with our resources and our tax dollars, and I am committed to creating a new level of transparency and openness with our county residents.
