Did a little sleuthing while going thru the William Wertz papers. I found an old envelope with Mr wertzs notes saying a piece on the cover of the Magazine Artifact vol 7 issue # 4 was given the wrong provenance. It is said to be from Fox Field, but Mr Wertz says he dug it from a burial at Hardin Village. Then it shows up again in 1981 in Return to Fox Fields. Dr Glass credited that photo to Wertz in a personal signed copy of the book. Interestingly in that magazine, Dr. Glass states the drilling in this mask was not seen in any others from that site. Most likely because this mask is not from Fox Field, but from Hardin Village. Not sure where this piece is now. It may be in the museum with the rest of his collection.
