Did anybody actually think Derek and Kate were going to be hooking up??? She brutally murdered his entire family by burning them alive! No way dose he have any left over romantic feelings for her. And if he did, it would just mean she screwed him up waaaay more then everybody thought. Personally I dont think any of these characters are in an emotionally stable enough place to be getting into any kind of romantic relationship. They have all been through some trauma or another and need to work out their own sh*t and get their heads right before even thinking of getting into a relationship. Maybe Scott and Kira. I know hes still morning Allison, but hes morning the loss of his friend not his girl friend. They broke up a while ago and he and Kira had already started to sew the seeds of their romance when she died. So while he probably still has some feelings of grief/guilt to work through he might be ok to move forward with Kira. Everybody ells, definitely not.
