Did anyone here ever know a Mr Jim Issing of Okolona? Jim, if living , be in his 70s. I met him when he was in Salary at GE and he had a story to tell me.Jim said back in the 1950s he had the impression he was a real bad ass, racing around Okolona, on this car he had a switch so he could turn off his brake lights. Jim told me he liked to taunt my father who at the time was Chief of Police and drove a unmarked 57 Oldsmobile Police car and then pull into a garage and hide as dad passed . One day Jim tried this and the olds was in pursuit and Jim pulled into his hiding spot with his brake lights turned off and thought it was so darn funny, then, out of the blackness of the garage a huge hand reached in and grabbed him by the neck! Jim said he almost filled his pants then a voice spoke, I got you!( it was my dad) Jim said within a few days he decided to join the service and get out of Okolona! The longer I live the more stories of things my late father did emerges !
