Did he say it is his religious belief? Then keep it in religion. Why make it National? The last time we checked, Nigeria was a secular state. What about my Religious Beliefs? Adam and Eve were of marriageable ages when they were created and put in the Garden by God Did he say 18 years is western culture? My people in antiquity used to espouse the engagement of the girl child and boy child but marriage never happened until both were old enough to work and raise a family on their own. Did he say early marriage of the girl child would solve half of Nigeria’s problems? We say perhaps the other half would be solved by the early marriage of the boy child. Does he really understand the problems and complexities of a multi-cultural country with diverse religious beliefs? We say it is time to re-negotiate how everyone in this our country should be catered for. Do we really disagree on what Federal laws should be? Perhaps we should return to true federalism with each federating state deciding what is best for its people and whether they should be part of the federation in the first place.
