Did my good deed for the day! Went to meet someone who wanted to buy an item I posted for sale at a local gas station, as I was getting in my truck, a young guy comes up to me and says excuse me Maam, do you have a few dollars to spare? I asked him what he needed it for, he said antifreeze...I look over by the pumps and theres a truck with the hood open, I handed him $5 of the twenty I had, he told me thank you and God Bless and turned and walked towards the AutoZone next to the gas station. I backed up, pulled up next to him and asked how much the antifreeze was, and how much he had towards it. Told me it was 12.99 and all he had was the five and a few bucks in change. I parked at autozone, told him I would buy him the bottle, he handed me back my 5, and ran to the aisle getting what he needed...$13 and some change later, again, he said, Thank you so much! You have no idea! God Bless and Merry Christmas, I handed him the change from the $20 and told him to use it for gas Moral of the story? Everyone is going through something! And no matter how insignificant it may have appeared, he was someones son, brother, father, uncle...a kid, trying to make it home! So if you have the ability to make someones day brighter, do so, whether it be a simple smile, a hug, lending a helping hand or simply giving from the heart! It was a great feeling to hand him my little profit from something I had laying around my house and no longer wanted! Couldnt have spent it any wiser! I went to that gas station for a reason tonight!
