Did the Goat Rocks this week. Base camped at Snowgrass Flat at treeline Wednesday and Thursday nights. Thursday I day hiked over to Cispus Pass and climbed up into Cispus Basin to the ridge line below Gilbert Peak for stunning views of the glaciers and Mt. Rainier. Then I hiked over Cispus Pass into the upper Klickitat Basin and climbed a peak for some great views. Returned to Snowgrass after lunch back in Cispus Basin. I then hiked up to the base of Old Snowy Mountain for sunset pics of Rainier and Adam before returning to camp. Did over 20 miles total. On Friday, I hiked up to Goat Lake then Hawkeye Point for stunning vistas. Then hiked out through Jordan Basin and back to the trailhead. About a 35 mile hike total in some gorgeous terrain!
