Did we need a pump and pageantry NED at Royal Senchi to know how to restructure our economy to become self dependent? Or Did we need to WASTE the overburdened taxpayer with additional profligate spending to know the views of Political Parties and other interest groups though we chose conveniently to ignore GUTA a major stakeholder in the running of the Economy. Well, Well, Well, our friends in NDC have had 26years of the 57years that Ghana is since independence. If there is any regime that is expected to have led the path to Economic emancipation which Osagyefo clear said at independence was our major task having become fully politically independent. Yet today, we still hear GoG officials throw figures around as indicators of a strong economy which they still say need healing....it is not the figures GDP, INFLATION, INTEREST RATE, OR WHATEVER that matter. As Osagyefo said as far back as 24th December 1957 during a dawn broadcast; we shall measure our progress by the improvement in the Health of our people; by the number of children in School, and by the Quality of their Education; by the availability of Water and Electricity to our towns and villages, by the happiness which our people take in being able to manage their own affairs. The Welfare of our people is our Chief Pride and by this that the Government will ask to be judged........can the NDC set the same as the measure for assessment so that we can tell where we are and where ought to be heading. Let Ghanaians rise to reject any propagandist and money plundering effort clothed with façade of National Consensus......it is FAKE and must rejected as it is another effort at chop chop.
