Did you ever think you would see anything like this in Hong Kong? I never thought I would see anything like this in Hong Kong So heart broken to see so many pro-democracy activist from young students to 70 year olds fighting for their rights and large sections of the region’s population remaining politically conservative and more focused on maintaining economic stability than fighting for rights. These are simple rights. Hong Kong is not communist. In 1997, Britain transferred sovereignty back to China, China promised 1 country , 2 systems Dont make me think that there was never any intentions of that, that it was simply said to make Britain handover without hesitation then once you have the sovereignty back you do whatever you want and not keep your words. Keep your words. Hong Kong is changing. From every government decision ,we see Hong Kong becoming less Hong Kong - like In reality, most protesters are more concerned whether the region can retain its independently minded identity: about defending its rights and culture, rather than advancing them. Hong Kong’s freedoms have been getting less and less since the handover. We just want to have the freedom like before. Pro-democracy activist, keep fighting. Weve got your back
