Did you know? Medicare has allowed Medicare drug plans (better know as Medicare Part D) to partner with the big chain stores and basically force them to leave independent pharmacies like Hanson Pharmacy. Plans like Humana, AARP, Wellcare and more have partnered with the big chains and will give them reduced or $0 copays if they will go to these stores and get their medicine but they charge them more if they want to come to us. These plans will not even allow independent stores to participate in these special contracts. Its your tax dollars and mine that are funding these plans. So how can the government allow this? I dont really know but it doesnt look like it is going to end anytime soon. I say all of that to say this…. It is really starting to take a toll on small independent stores. The playing field is far from level. Im asking for creative ideas to help us pickup new customers. What would make you consider trying a new pharmacy? Give us your ideas. Your input is appreciated.
