Did you know that 2014 marks the 30th year of WBER radio operations? Thanks to our faithful listeners for helping us become The ONLY Station That Matters! To celebrate, we’re having a two-phase fundraiser. As a listener and school district supported, non-commercial radio station, we depend heavily upon our listeners for a significant portion of the station’s annual operating budget. Starting at 6:00 A.M., Friday, November 21st, we’ll play tunes from 1985 through 1999 – the first 15 years –- and ask listeners to make a donation in support of WBER, and at the same time vote for their favorite year. We’ll be on the air as long as it takes to reach the Phase I goal of $20,000. Next Spring, we’ll cover 2000 through 2014. Please check out wber.monroe.edu for more information. Thank you!
