Did you know that May is Trauma Awareness Month? Every year, traumatic injury is the number one cause of death in people from ages 1 to 44. Here at the Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center, we care for over 3,000 people each year due to traumatic injury. Simple things like wearing your helmet or seat-belt and putting your phone away while driving can literally be the difference in life and death. Recently, we had the opportunity to participate in a mock DUI at North Marion High School to show just how dangerous the consequences of drinking and driving can be.
