Did you know that November is National Adoption Month? Growing up, I was very lucky to have many foster siblings in my home. Thanks to the commitment and compassion of my parents, I learned how important a loving home is, and what a difference it can make in the lives of a foster child. If it’s something you have considered, we have some tremendous resources in our state, like Adoption Rhode Island. As a country, we need to do a better job at prioritizing permanency for these children. They belong to all of us, and they deserve our support.
